Men's Soccer Prevails on the Road at Merrimack, Improves to .500

Playing its physically closest away game of the season, Harvard (2-2-1, 0-0 Ivy League) pulled back up to .500 in a night to remember for the visiting squad. Junior goalkeeper Gianluca Trofa made his mark in his first full game for the Crimson, notching an assist as well as 12 saves, one of which came on a penalty kick.

Double Overtime Ends in Heartbreak for Men’s Soccer as Harvard Falls to Northeastern, 2-1

On Tuesday night, Harvard played out a heartbreaking 2-1 extra-time loss versus Northeastern in its first game back on Jordan field since 2019. There was no shortage of action for fans in attendance, as the game featured a red card, a saved penalty, and multiple disallowed goals, but the crowd ultimately was not able to rally the Crimson to a victory.

End-to-End Overtime Does Not Determine Winner as Men’s Soccer Draws at Bryant, 1-1

Harvard battled through a hard-fought 110 minutes to secure a 1-1 draw at Bryant University on Saturday afternoon. The extra time ensued after regulation was not enough to separate the two sides. In the overtime session, neither team was able to find the golden goal despite both squads coming close in an end-to-end affair.

Men’s Soccer Returns to Play with Decisive 4-0 Victory

Harvard was victorious in its first match since Nov. 16, 2019, as it cruised to a 4-0 victory over Central Connecticut State University on Sunday. The four-goal margin was the Crimson’s largest victory since 2016, and its largest opening day victory since 2002.

Men's Soccer Begins New Chapter, Moving on from Lehrer

Pieter Lehrer, The Virginia B. and James O. Welch '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, will not be returning to coach the Crimson next fall. Lehrer spent seven seasons at Harvard, accumulating a 42-58-13 record during that period.

Men’s Soccer Falters at Vermont, Providence

Coming off of an opening weekend which may have seen it play its two strongest opponents of the season, Harvard rounded out its opening string of away games with contests against Providence and Vermont.
